The Most Spectacular Way to Kick off the Golf Season, The Masters 2010 with Horizon
|
|
| |
 |
| |
Imagine standing in golf’s hallowed “cathedral in the pines” on the final day of the Masters as the shadows lengthen around you in the golden afternoon. The outcome had seemed like a forgone conclusion this morning, but suddenly a mighty roar emerges from Amen corner, rolling over the assembled crowd like a tidal wave. Tiger Woods, one of only three players in history to have won the Masters four times, just eagled the 11th, and once again the pursuit of the coveted green jacket has come down to the “back nine on Sunday”. Feel the tingle that comes with participating in history-in-the-making as the world’s finest golfers battle their way down the fairway of one of the most famous finishing holes in golf towards an electrifying conclusion. |
|
Let us be your ticket to golf’s most prestigious (and impossible-to-get-into) event. Arrive in style with a private police escort and spend the final day of the Masters walking alongside the best golfers in the world as they pursue the coveted green jacket. Celebrate victory in the shelter of our exclusive VIP Hospitality suite, then retire to the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation to re-live the highlights over a nightcap and cigar. Play the designer championship courses around Reynolds Plantation for two days of challenging and exhilarating golf, then return home to start counting the days until next year... |

| Saturday April 10: Arrive Atlanta |
| |
Fly into Atlanta and make your way to the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead. The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead is the Rolls Royce of Atlanta hotels. Every inch of this hotel oozes luxury, from the lobby to the public areas, which are graced with Regency and Georgian antiques and an outstanding collection of 18th- and 19th-century artwork. The quality of service matches the sumptuous surroundings. The location is also excellent - on the fringe of lovely neighbourhoods, across the street from two upscale shopping arcades, and close to Buckhead’s fine restaurants and nightspots. After meeting your Horizon guide at the hotel check-in, spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Ritz- Carlton, Buckhead. Meals: None |
| |
| Sunday April 11: Masters Golf Tournament (Final Day) |
|
Meet in the hotel lobby at 6:30am for a two hour coach transfer to Augusta. To ensure
a speedy (and memorable) arrival,
a police escort guides us through
the traffic in Augusta to the gates
of Augusta National. On arrival,
disembark at our hospitality
facility (a classic southern-style
mansion just across from the main
gates) for a brief orientation and to
receive your Patron’s Badge, one of
the world’s most coveted tickets for
any event, sporting or otherwise. |
| |
Spend the rest of the day following your favourite world-class golfers across the pristine
contours of the emerald course as they pursue the hallowed green jacket, or escape
the crowds and enjoy a bounty
of food and refreshments at our
constantly changing hospitality
buffet. The plentiful array of fresh
seafood, grilled meats, sandwiches
on home-baked breads, local
cheeses and an ongoing open bar
is sure to satisfy even the most
enthusiastic appetite. Following
the presentation ceremony, return
to the hospitality facilities to grab
a drink or bite of dinner and to return your Patron’s Badge. Board our coach for the
transfer to the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Reynold’s Plantation, in Greensboro, Georgia.
Share your tales of the tournament over a nightcap in the hotel.
Overnight: The Ritz-
Carlton Reynolds Plantation. Meals: All day hospitality in Augusta. |
| |
| Monday April 12: Golf (1pm shotgun ) |
|
Sleep in this morning and spend a leisurely few hours enjoying the luxurious amenities
around the Plantation. Unwind in the hotel spa with a Spring Body Polish (a soothing
exfoliation treatment that blends Blessed Thistle and Peru Balsam to balance and
restore skin) or squeeze in an early round of golf at one of the award-winning courses on
site. After an early lunch, tee off at one of the
five Reynolds Plantation courses for a round
of 18 holes. Spend the evening at your leisure
and eat in any of the excellent restaurants
in the resort. Gaby’s by the Lake is a casual
spot located by the pool, and offers some of
the most inspiring views of Lake Oconee.
Linger Longer Steakhouse is another great
casual dining choice that specializes in grilled
favorites including sumptuous steaks, freerange
poultry, Maine lobster, fish and rotisserie
entrees. If you prefer to sample some of the
delectable regional dishes, then try Georgia’s,
winner of the prestigious 2005 AAA Four
Diamond Award. Their signature is Southern
cuisine with gourmet flair, using traditional local ingredients with a contemporary twist.
The stone fireplace and exposed timber ceilings create a relaxed yet refined dining
atmosphere.
