Day 1 – See the glories of Ancient Rome
Tour begins: 2:30 PM at the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi. Welcome to Rome, where you'll begin this most family-friendly of Tauck's Italy tours; a transfer is included from Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Fiumicino to the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi. Walk with a guide through the heart of Rome to sites such as the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and the famous Trevi Fountain – toss a coin over your shoulder into the fountain and make a wish! Join us for a welcome reception and dinner tonight.

Day 2 – Explore more of Imperial Rome
More Roman treasures await your family on a city tour today; visit the Colosseum, pose for pictures with Roman Centurions, and check out the ruins of the Forum, heart of the Empire. Then spend the rest of the day and evening discovering the "Eternal City" on your own as in Italy tours of Rome must include free time to explore what you most want to see!

Day 3 – Vatican treasures, a highlight of Tauck's Italy tours Vatican City is full of fascinating history and artistic masterpieces. Day 4 – Discover Florence and Pisa's Leaning Tower Start your art discoveries in Florence as an expert guides you through the Galleria dell’Accademia, Europe's first art school, to see Michelangelo’s David and a host of other art treasures. Then you're off on an excursion to Pisa for a look at this maritime city's great medieval buildings – including a glimpse of the remarkable Leaning Tower. Return to Florence for an evening as you please.

Day 5 – Florentine treasures and the secrets of pizza
More great Renaissance art awaits in Florence today on a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, the world's oldest art gallery, where you'll see masterpieces galore – including Michelangelo’s painting of The Holy Family and Botticelli's The Birth of Venus. Later, a hands-on pizza-making demonstration at a local restaurant reveals the secrets of creating this world-renowned Italian treat.

Day 6 – Travel to Venice aboard the high-speed Eurostar Another fast rail journey aboard the Eurostar takes you to Venice, a city of islands where the roads are paved with water, and a treasured memory of many Italy tours. A private boat takes you to the city's heart for a walking tour of massive St. Mark’s Square, and a visit to the Doges’ Palace; learn why a small bridge high above a canal is called the Bridge of Sighs. Later, a musician serenades your family as you ride in a gondola, traveling through the canals as the Venetians have done for centuries!

Day 7 – Experience Venice your way

Tonight, please join us for a farewell reception and dinner, as this most memorable of family Italy tours draws to a spectacular close.

Day 8 – Homeward bound Tour ends: Venice. Arrivederci! A transfer is included from the Westin Excelsior, Venice Lido Resort to Venice's Marco Polo Airport for your flight home. If you did throw that coin into Trevi Fountain, legend has it that you will return to L’Italia Bella again someday!
