Day 2: SEOUL
Arrive in Seoul and transfer to your hotel to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. The world’s second largest metropolitan area and the nation’s capital, Seoul is a captivating city where the ancient and ultramodern merge. Overnight in Seoul.
Day 3: SEOUL – JEJU ISLAND
BREAKFAST
Transfer to airport for a flight to the volcanic and picturesque Jeju Island. Check into your hotel before visiting the fascinating Folklore and Natural History Museum. Then to either Yongduam Rock, or for a trek along an oreum (a striking volcanic feature) with spectacular views of the countryside and Halla Mountain, the highest summit in South Korea. Overnight on Jeju Island.
 
Day 4: JEJU ISLAND
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
A full – day tour beginning with the legendary Dragon Head Rock, a volcanic protrusion sculpted out of a dramatic seaside. Then to the enchanting Spirited Garden for a stroll through the largest bonsai collection is Asia. Make your way to the beautiful Cheonjinyeon waterfalls and visit the magnificent Yakcheonsa Temple, one of the largest temples in Asia. Overnight on Jeju Island.
 
Day 5: JEJU ISLAND – BUSAN
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
In the morning, travel back a millennium to the inhabited Seongeup Folk Village, with its traditional thatched houses and animal-driven mills. Then to the airport to board a flight to Busan, where you will be transferred to your hotel for check–in. Later in the afternoon, visit Jagalchi Fish Market and Yongdusan Mountain for spectacular views of the port and city centre. Overnight in Busan.
 
Day 6: BUSAN – GYEONGJU
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Take a coach to the historical treasure of Gyeongju, a quaint city known as a ‘museum without walls’. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Seokguram Grotto and the majestic Bulguksa Temple. See the Bomun Lake Resort, walk through the impressive National Museum, and marvel at Cheomseongdae, a 7th century observatory and one of the oldest scientific installations on earth. Overnight in Gyeongju.
Day 7: GYEONGJU – ANDONG – SEORAKSAN
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Begin with a scenic countryside drive to Andong, the home of Confucianism, with a visit to the Hahoe Folk Village, where the streets, buildings and folk art have been preserved according to tradition for 600 years. Then on to the spectacular, Seoraksan National Park, a region of high peaks, granite cliffs, lush forests, waterfalls, hot springs and temples.
Overnight in Seoraksan.
Day 8 : SEORAKSAN – SEOUL
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Visit the Goseong Unification observatory, with gorgeous views up the coast into North Korea and the spectacular Taebaek Mountains. Near the observatory you will find touching monuments raised in the hopes of a North/South reunification. Make your way back to Seoul through the countryside. Overnight in Seoul.
Day 9: SEOUL – CANADA
BREAKFAST
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home aboard Air Canada.
