Your full day of sightseeing includes visits to the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum, Temple of Literature, Lake of the Restored Sword and a tour of the Old Quarter on a cyclo. Afterwards, visit the History Museum or the Museum of Ethnology. This evening, marvel at a spectacular water puppet performance. It is a remarkable Vietnamese art form that combines traditional music, fireworks, underwater puppeteers and elaborate puppets floating gracefully over water.

Hanoi – Halong – on board (B/L/D)
This morning, travel to Halong. Embark on the Bhaya Cruise – Deluxe cabin * 5-star, a deluxe small cruising ship built in the style of a traditional Chinese junk, with deluxe accommodations. Set sail through the bay as lunch is served passing dramatic limestone islands. This morning, enjoy a boat trip on the Thu Bon River. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An’s narrow cobblestone streets and visit the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the colorful bazaar and the local market.

Hoi An – Saigon (B)

In the afternoon, visit the city’s historic landmarks, including the former Presidential Palace, the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and Cholon, the city’s bustling Chinatown.

This morning, drive to Tay Ninh, the birthplace of the unique Cao Dai religion, a fusion of Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity, Islam and native Vietnamese spiritual beliefs. See the Cao Dai Great Temple. Afterwards, continue to the Cu Chi Tunnels. In Cu Chi, explore the underground village where guerrilla fighters hid and communicated in their simple network of tunnels during the Vietnam War.

Today, visit the Angkor Thom, enclosed by a city wall and wide moats. Afterwards proceed to Prasat Kraven, Banteay Kdei Temple, Ta Keo, Ta Prohm, Sras Srang and Thommanon. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at the Aspara Terrace Restaurant.

Siem Reap – Luang Prabang (B/D)

Start the day at the National Museum (Royal Palace), a modest but graceful building that combines traditional Lao and French beaux-arts motifs.  Afterwards, visit Wat Mai and Wat Visoun (Wat Wisunaiat), the oldest temple in Luang Prabang.  Stroll down the main street, stopping at some of the many temples that line its sides, including Wat Sibounheuang, Wat Si Moungkhoun, Wat Sop and Wat Sene.  Dinner will be at the hotel.
Day 17 – Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Luang Prabang (B/D)
Today, take a boat excursion to the Pak Cu Caves, located in the steep rock cliff at the confluence of the Mekong River and Ou River.  They are full of Buddha images of varying styles, ages and sizes.  Then proceed to Ban Xiang Hai, the village was once a Jar–Maker Village and nowadays the community fills the jars with lao-lao, the local rice whisky.  Dinner will be at the hotel.

Bangkok (B/D)
This morning, fly to Bangkok where you will stay at the InterContinental Hotel – Deluxe room *5-star for one night.  The rest of the day is at your leisure.  Tonight, enjoy a delicious farewell Thai-style dinner.  The meal is accompanied by traditional Thai classical music and dances.
