A select number of hotels, resorts and cruise lines have incorporated a large number wedding & renewal of vows feature and service components into their travel packages. Sandals Resorts, Couples Resorts, Swept Away, Super Clubs and Club Med are just a few of the excellent hospitality and holiday travel companies that offer excellent destination wedding services.

Some charge for their wedding services, at very reasonable rates. Others include basic wedding services as part of their all-inclusive packages. Also, a growing number of cruise companies such as Norwegian Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruises Lines and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines also offer -- usually at an additional charge -- wedding or renewal of vows services. Some couples bring a few family members or a small wedding party of friends whose members might stay in the same resort or hotel for a weekend, then leave the couple alone for the rest of the week.

For those getting married for the second time who would like to bring children, there are resorts which arrange the wedding, then provide supervised day long activities for the children and private areas where adults can enjoy beach and sports activities.

Some hotels and resorts offer free weddings and have unusual and memorable 'once in a lifetime' places for you to marry.

Be certain that you have all the necessary documentation. This can be done through consulates, tourist boards, on-site hotel and resort wedding co-ordinators and of course your Collacutt Travel Consultant.

Decide how many of your family and/or friends are coming and get rooms booked well in advance.

Decide what you both want to wear. Most women choose full bridal gowns or white cocktail dresses. The men generally select a tuxedo or a jacket, tie and pants. Pack these items of clothing in a separate suitcase.

If soft romantic background music (your favorite song) is in your dreams, take a favorite CD or tape and a player. Many hotels and resorts will supply your with music and a player.

Once you have arrived at your destination, be certain to make an appointment with the hotel, resort wedding consultant, or cruise director.

Do you want to get married in the morning or at sunset?
What are your plans for after the ceremony?
Will you stay in your wedding clothes or change into something else?
Enjoy dinner with another honeymoon couple or the wedding reception with family and/or friends.
Have a champagne cocktail at the bar?
Dine in the gourmet restaurant? (Be certain to reserve a romantic table in advance.)
Take a romantic tour of your destination before retiring to your room or honeymoon suite.

Even if the hotel, resort or cruise ship arranges the wedding "free-of-charge", you will have to pay the photographer, probably in cash. If you are out of the United States or Canada and want black and white as well as color photos, bring 35MM black & white film. If you want a video, tell the wedding planner in advance if photos and/or videos are not included with your package.
